A chartered marketer, with 15 years' experience in managing and building brands, Mtunzi-Hairwadzi remains committed to making brands alive and tangible but she says her passion is in giving back to communities. She has worked with major parastatals and listed company brands in the South African market and has driven PR & media communications, stakeholder relationship management, corporate brand activations and CSR programmes. From 2000, she held the following positions; executive director of Corporate Affairs for Medical Research Council of South Africa, deputy MD for Qualsa SA and head of Corporate Affairs for Metropolitan Health Group before being appointed as the head of the MTN SA Foundation in 2012.

She has a passion for mentoring and building capacity for future leaders in all areas of management and business processes applications. A results-driven person who will deliver from strategy development, implementation plans development, monitoring and evaluation, reputation and image management, as well as stakeholder relationship management.

She started her career in the health sciences environment but further studies saw her branch off into marketing. She holds an Honours Degree in Marketing and an MBA from Bond University Australia.
