Show profile Hide profileJames Ncedani. Proactive individual with passion for people management, diversity, labour and social cohesion. I am an engaged individual seeking to grow in the field of Management administration and organisational development.
Matriculated in 2006 and financial challenges led me to PC Training and Business College (now Ritchfield Graduate Institute) where I completed the NQF4 certificate in HR Management. There I was elected representative or liaison officer for the krugersdorp campus. While attending While studying I was a gardner with Senwelo Garden Services to assist my mother with my education fees. In 2008 I volunteered at the college, then moved on to do direct marketing. I sold Victoria Jackson Make-up; Le Morgan cooking products; and Health equipment.
In 2009 after my mother's passing, I used her pension fund to cover for my first year at the North West University and applied for NSFAS funding. I completed the Bcom HR degree in record time (2012) and was shortlisted for both Labour Relations Management, and Business Management Honours program.
From 2011 to 2014 I was a member of the NWU Institutional Forum where I contributed greatly w.r.t Social Cohesion and an inclusive culture in diversity. Became a NWU Senate & Council member from 2012 to 2014. Contributing to the installation of the first black vice-chancellor; improved retention figures and an exciting culture of leadership development and academic excellence.
2015 I was with SAGE HR & Payroll where I had an opportunity to be a payroll consultant, I completed the basic training and required to do field training before my stay was shortened. Skills gained there included data capturing; call centre; and consulting skills.
2016 February I joined Sanlam Healthcare Management as an Executive Assistant intern responsible for the office of the CEO and Management Committee. I was offered a 6 months contract at the beginning of 2017 which ended July 2017.
Currently I have been unemployed and working with the community to address communal problems. I was also appointed coordinator of elections for Merafong City by one of the political parties contesting 2019 elections.
I am resilient, reliable and attentive to detail; work well under pressure and can interact with a variety of cultures, adaptable and handle adversity well.
