Sally Burdett appointed as Fairlady Johannesburg Bureau Chief
Fairlady Magazine has appointed Sally Burdett as the new Johannesburg Bureau Chief.
Sally has held the position of Consumer Editor at Fairlady since February 2003 encouraging active consumerism, highlighting and comparing service and quality and empowering the Fairlady readers with relevant information to become better consumers. Establishing herself as a consumer watchdog, Sally will continue in this role while also managing the Johannesburg satellite office.
Sally has extensive experience as both a radio and television journalist. She has presented the SABC3 prime-time news and current affairs programme, Newshour, as well as the SABC2 moral debate programme, The Big Question.
Between 1995 and 1999 Sally co-anchored SAfm's morning actuality radio programme AMLIVE then went on to present SAfm's news programme One O'clock Live until 2001. She also spent two months reporting on the Africa desk with the BBC World Service in London.
"With so many of our readers and clients based in Johannesburg it is very important for us to have a strong presence there," says Fairlady editor Ann Donald. "Sally has spent many years within the media industry in Johannesburg and we are confident she will be a excellent ambassador for our brand."
