Bazil Lauryssen appointed MD of Clear Channel Independent
Tony Howard, CEO of Independent News & Media (SA) and Chairman of Clear Channel Independent, has announced that Bazil Lauryssen has been appointed as Managing Director of Clear Channel Independent to manage their partnership between Clear Channel Outdoor Inc. and Independent News & Media SA (Pty) Ltd. in South Africa and 12 other countries of sub-Saharan Africa.
Bazil previously served as MD of Clear Channel Outdoor SA, the South African division of Clear Channel Independent (Pty) Ltd. and has been with the company since June 1997. Bazil has also served 3 terms as Chairman of OHMSA (The Out of Home Media Association of South Africa).
