BokSel, mobile virtual network operator for Afrikaans speakers

The Afrikaans radio station, Bok Radio, and mobile network enabler, MVN-X, have collaborated to launch an alternative mobile service for Afrikaans-speakers, called BokSel. Consumers who are interested in switching can port their numbers free.

The mobile virtual network operator is the country's first Afrikaans-language mobile service provider and offers consumers freedom from the traditional contract model, with its customisable packages on its website, a user-friendly online platform in Afrikaans.

Its first customers will be listeners of Bok Radio, which has a strong following in the Western Cape, but the network is open to any mobile users in the country seeking a mobile network alternative that caters for their Afrikaans language preference.
