Microsoft adds OCR support for two of South African languages in public preview
Microsoft has added two of South Africa's official languages, Afrikaans and IsiZulu, Optical Character Recognition (OCR) support, in public preview. OCR support for local languages allows users to use data processing to label content in their own language, making it easy to use technology.
OCR support currently offers text and handwriting recognition and will later look into understanding different dialects within supported languages in order to enable speech support.
