First conference for Romance Writers of South Africa

Romance Writers of South Africa will hold its first conference on 25-26 October 2014 in Melrose, Johannesburg. The speakers will feature guest speakers, panel discussions, writing workshops and a gala dinner. Authors will also have the opportunity to pitch their unpublished manuscripts to editors from Harlequin UK (Mills & Boon) and Harper Impulse (an imprint of HarperCollins) as well as to US agent Laurie McLean of Foreword Literary Agency.

Speakers include Hester Carstens of NB Uitgewers (representing its Satyn, Melodie and Hartklop imprints), freelance editor Nicky Bosman, and publicity and marketing experts Helen Holyoake of Helco Promotions and Tristan Banha of The Juice Box.
