Astrapak in multi-year supply deal, partnership

Packaging company Astrapak announced on Wednesday it had concluded a multi-year supply agreement in a partnership deal that has been reached with one of South Africa's largest fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) companies.

In terms of the deal, Astrapak will continue to supply a major portion of the FMCG company's personal care and food packaging requirement.

The agreement requires investment behind all core moulding technologies with a combined investment of R170 million by both the parties.

"The agreement solidifies the long-term partnership between the two businesses and shows Astrapak's commitment to supply and invest into innovative, high quality plastic packaging solutions, thereby re-affirming Astrapak's leading position in its core technologies and the personal care and foods end markets," Astrapak said in a statement.
