New Shiraz from Simonsig

In honour of Alessandro Borio, an Italian prisoner of war who stayed on at Simonsig to build the first cement wine tanks on the estate, Simonsig Wine Estate has just released Mr Bornio's Shiraz 2010. Recommended with warm, rustic dishes, such as cottage or venison pie, char-grilled ribs or chops or with a hearty tomato stew, a personal favourite of Mr Borio, is sells for R66 at the cellar door.
