Covid-19 relief grants now available at Shoprite, Checkers and Usave
The Shoprite Group has stepped in to make grant payments available in its 1,286 supermarkets across South Africa, allowing over 10 million unemployed South Africans to get the R350 Covid-19 assistance award.
The grant has been extended for another 12 months and is now available at the till at all Shoprite, Checkers, Usave and selected OK Foods supermarkets. Customers can get their grants, buy groceries, and pay bills all in one place.
Shoprite, Checkers, Usave and some OK Foods stores accept ID and telephone numbers for grant collection. An OTP will be sent to this number to prevent fraud.
