Algoa FM dismissed Daron Mann following anti-dairy statement on air
Eastern Cape-based radio station Algoa FM has dismissed radio presenter Daron Mann for what it has deemed "undermining the legitimate and equally important interests of another". According to Mann, his dismissal is a result of an on-air comment about why he wanted to become a vegan.
While sharing his experince on becoming vegetarian as well as his intention to become vegan, Mann had mentioned that he felt that the dairy industry is "horrific". It is believed that the dismissal was set in motion by Woodlands Dairy, one of the station's advertisers, after it lodged complaint against Mann.
