Sanef to continue to engage with Malema
The South African National Editors Forum (Sanef) indicated that it will continue to engage with Julius Malema despite being told to "go to hell" on social media by the Economic Freedom Fighters leader. Sanef recently held its September council and discussed the EFF's "banning" of amaBhungane, Scorpio and Daily Maverick from attending their party events, including press conferences.
The editors' forum also indicated that it will formally request a meeting. Furthermore, Sanef's council confirmed a roundtable on the harassment of journalists scheduled to take place on 28 September 2019 in Johannesburg.
