New SA tax may lead to consumers paying more for internet services
According to a report by BusinessTech, international suppliers of electronic services to South African customers will be affected by the National Treasury's recently published amended regulation for electronic services.
International suppliers of electronic services to South African customers must now evaluate whether their supply of services qualifies as 'electronic services' and whether this will create a liability to register for VAT in South Africa.
The amended regulation will take effect 1 April 2019. Read more on this here.
