All aspirant poets, writers and playwrights between the ages of 12 and 18 are invited to enter the "Voice of the Girl Child" creative writing competition at the Cape WOW Women's Festival, which has a strong emphasise on the younger generation this year. Participants can submit a short story or essay of no more than 2 500 words, plays or dramatic sketches of a maximum of 50 pages and poems with a maximum of 40 lines before 10 June 2005.
