KNP staff awarded for excellence in the workplace

On 26 May 2017, the 18th Kruger National Park Achievement Awards took place in the park, at Skukuza, which saw finalists selected based on a set of strict assessment criteria. The awards were judged on overall performance, which included implementation of various systems, financial performance and management, guest complaints and compliments, compliance to policies and general neatness of the facility.

Lifetime Achievement Award - Ananias Jamie Mulhovo

Bravery Award - Michael Baloyi

Camp of the Year - Skukuza Rest Camp

Bush Camp of the Year went to Pafuri Border Camp

Wilderness Trails Camp of the Year - Sweni Trails Camp

Entrance Gate of the Year - Crocodile Bridge Gate

Ranger Post of the Year - N'wanetsi

Department of the year - Scientific Services

Special Team effort - Special Rangers and Air Services

Special Team effort - Satara Rangers

Total SA Top Service Award for the best performing Petrol Station - Lower Sabie

Environmental Education Contribution - Mlilo Primary School

Environmental Education Contribution award - Nxanguyintshwa Primary School

Environmental Education Contribution - Masoyi Home Based Care Project

Leadership Award - Winslow Ntlhamu

The awards were awarded to KNP staff who excelled in categories, which included 'outstanding in the workplace' and 'outstanding service to clients' in the past year or over a long period. Total SA, which has supported the event since its inception, was awarded the Total SA Top Service Award for the best performing petrol station in the park.
