10th Tops at Spar Soweto Wine and Lifestyle Festival
From 4-6 September 2014, Sowetans sipped and savoured over 900 wines, enjoyed Gauteng's Taste of Africa dining experience, learnt about the art of wine at the Nederburg Wines and Robertsons Herbs & Spices Taste Theatre, and enjoyed #LoveJoburg premium events. The 10th Tops at Spar Soweto Wine & Lifestyle Festival, presented by Joburg Tourism, will be remembered not only as a celebration of Soweto's sensational soul and South Africa's finest wine, but also for redefining the wine festival experience by uniting Joburg's top events under one roof.

Over the three nights, music from Senegal, Congo and Cameroon infused the festival with African energy, while MCs, Hlubi Mboya and Unathi Msengana, steered visitors through the delights on offer, showing them the finest wines from 45 of South Africa's premier wineries, introducing them to sensational cuisine, and enticing them to experience the best of Joburg. Festival goers also enjoyed Gauteng's 'Taste of Africa Dining Experience', a new addition to the festival featuring Maboneng Precinct and Soweto's leading restaurants, including House of Baobab and Blackanese, and performances by musicians from Senegal, Congo and Cameroon that further infused the festival with African energy.
