The CFO Challenge Conference...to infinity and beyond
The first leg of the Annual CFO Challenge Conference was recently held at Monte Casino, Fourways. The conference, hosted by Top Companies Publishing and Events, in strategic alliance partnership with the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA), covers the dual and fast-evolving role of the corporate Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and his/her financial stewardship as a complex role within the organisation.
The panel of high profile speakers included Clem Sunter, Kevin Utian (Nandos), Maphum Nxumalo (SAP Africa), Tryphosa Ramano (SAA), Advocate Steven Powell (SHG), Prof Jean Miller, Prof Dawie Roodt and the Master of Ceremonies was well-known financial journalist and radio presenter, Michael Coulson.
Various South African businesses were represented at the two-day event, including delegates from organisations such as Price Waterhouse Coopers, ACMB, Anglogold, CHAMSA, SABC, Tsogo Sun, SA Tourism, Ernst & Young, the National Intelligence Agency.
