Just wanted to put it out there for GP and everyone else who might be listening on the NET or on channel 160.
Firstly I'm a big fan of these boy's (Sizwe & Siya) TV work respectivley. I actually still rate Siya as the best Animated presenter of note.
With that out of the picture, I would like to hear everyones opinion on their weekend slot on Y(SEAS 'N' SCOOP). I'll honest enough to say having been involved and educated about radio for the time I have, I just listened for the 1st 2weeks and I have not been there since simply because i dont think the show is that good.
Just when Metro killed the Top40, Y could have seized the opportunity to grasp most of that time's listnership (......yeah yeah....I know all about them having different markets and LSMs). I now hear listeners coming through on weekly shows bashing the weekend show and all this time DJ's covers the floor for their collegues (nothing wrong with that!!). If there is anyone out there who realy rates the show highly, I would like to hear that in order to give me a different perspective together with everyone else who does not think highly of that show.
I was not not a big fan of AK even though I could listen from time to time and I can safely say he had the slot going.
..........So GP lets hear????
Should Jon Hooper give Tumelo a good reason to hand over the slot come April 2010?
