2010 Soccer World Cup - Are we ready?

2010 may sound like its quite far off and it may seem that we have a lot of time to get everything sorted but I don't think so.

I would for example like to know whether the public transportation system will be sorted out by then and by looking at the taxi and train chaos I see everyday, it seems that it won't be.

I would also like to know how the stadiums which will be constructed at huge cost, will be used after the event. Also, is accomodation sorted out and who will benefit from the revenue thereof.

I have quite a few more questions, but as there is no public forum or communication tool, I guess most of these will remain unanswered. I tink government would do well to publish a monthly or even quarterly column in the daily national papers in which they outline the progress made so far.
