Lucille van Niekerk to head up RCP
Effective 1 March 2008, Lucille van Niekerk, GM ofBeeld will take up her new position within the Media24 stable as CEO of RCP Media. In her new role, Van Niekerk will head up the Rapport, Sondag and City Press papers. GM of Volksblad, Rassie van Zyl takes over as GM for Beeld.
“My time at Beeld has been incredibly fulfilling but the time has come for me to take on a new adventure. I look forward to working with the RCP team – these papers are regarded as jewels in the Media24 crown,” says Van Niekerk.
“Rassie is a highly competent leader and working together with the well-established Beeld team, this flag will continue to fly high.”
Van Zyl has for the past year kept a tight reign over Volksblad and previously also held the position of senior manager at Mooivaal Media.
