This year's awards carried the same format as the previous years: the public first nominated their favourite South African Online stores in 20 different categories and once a list of nominees had been published, the public and a panel of judges cast their votes, which numbered over 10 000. The votes were split 49% from the public and 51% from the judges.
Look and Listen recently launched its striking new website which bagged it this year's Best E-Commerce Website award, while eDreams won the most awards by taking the Best Computer Store, Best Home and Garden Store and Best Kids and Baby Store categories.
Winners
This year's judges were Albert Bredenhann, Andy Hadfield, Arthur Goldstuck, Charl Norman, Damaria Senne, Ferdie Bester, Henk Kleynhans, Ismail Dhorat and Marlon Parker.
The SA E-Commerce Awards was launched in 2006 by Jump Shopping with the aim of helping SA online businesses thrive in the E-Commerce industry in the country. The awards are open to all SA online stores.
