The VespaTakeOne competition challenged contestants to create a Vespa movie and upload it on the VespaTakeOne website. Entrants had to express their love for Vespa using moving pictures and sound. The movie had to contain at least three of the VespaVerde (verde means “green” and the it's the name for all the green benefits the scooter brings - such as saving fuel, saving time, saving the environment… and saving face simply by riding a Vespa).
In fourth place was Vespa Save by Mike Cruywagen and in third place was Guy Ailion for Uber Sexy. Second place went to Christopher Bisset for Academia and the grand prize was taken by Scott Kelly, a 28-year-old graphic designer from Port Elizabeth, for his moving video, Green Light. His winning entry saw Scott win a Vespa LX 150, helmet and jacket to ride through traffic and change the world.
