Mondi Packaging SA appoints new board members

The Board of Mondi Packaging SA has announced two new members. Miranda Malele, previously the Director of the National Literacy Initiative in the National Department of Education, who holds a BA from the University of the Witwatersrand and a certificate in Education Management and Policy from Harvard University. Most of her career has been in the area of education policy and planning.

Dr Peliwe P Lolwana, CEO of UMALUSI, the Council for General and Further Education and Training Quality Assurance. She has an MEd and PhD Counselling Psychology from the University of Massachusetts and serves on a number of educational boards in South Africa and Africa.

"We are honoured that Peliwe and Miranda have agreed to join our board. With their skills and experience we look forward to their contribution, especially with regard to transformation initiatives within MPSA, and the broader society within which we operate," commented Theo van Breda, CEO of Mondi Packaging SA.

Mondi Packaging SA is 58% owned by Mondi South Africa and 42% owned by Shanduka Resources.
