Comutanet cooks up a storm with Royal Baking Powder
Royal Baking Powder has teamed up with ComutaNet on a two year nationwide educational drive, inviting commuters across the country to test the product on the spot in a unique trailer especially designed to be a kitchen-on-wheels. The kitchen, complete with operational stoves, is designed for commuters to taste the 'sweets' of their labour.
The campaign is currently taking the country by storm as butter biscuits and cakes are being freshly baked across the country. To encourage participation and to ensure commuters are aware of the campaign and are present at the cook-off, colourful leaflets are distributed a day before the trailer visits each particular rank. The leaflets invite commuters to buy Royal Baking Powder for the following day with the intention of being a special guest on the trailer and to broaden their baking skills.
On arrival, promoters play music to the crowds attracting them to the trailer, two people are then chosen from the crowd along with their Royal Baking Powder product to learn how to bake. The two lucky participants each occupy their own stove while promoters engage with the crowd, explaining the intended recipe and talking through the baking process as participants mix the ingredients as per the promoter's guidance.
While the baking frenzy is progressing, a second ComutaNet promoter educates commuters on Royal Baking Powder as a rising agent, followed by a brief question and answer session. Free samples of the product along with a recipe booklet are handed out to those who answer the questions correctly.
On completion of the baking project, the two participants are each awarded with a Royal Baking Powder Academy Certificate complete with their names to boast to their family and friends that they can bake like the best. At the end of the promotion, tasty morsels are served to the on lookers.
"So far, Royal Baking Powder has been a fantastic campaign," says Pieter Groenewald, Managing Director of ComutaNet, "With this custom made kitchen trailer, we were able to present a product to commuters in a way that has never been seen before. Audience response has been really positive and the participants particularly enjoyed the recognition of being handed a certificate at the end of their baking experience. We look forward to see what the rest of the campaign holds for this promotion."
