Tractor Outdoor sets up Eastern Cape office
Cape-based outdoor advertising company Tractor Outdoor has recently established a dedicated office in Port Elizabeth for developing sites within the Eastern Cape and surrounding areas. "Tractor has recognised the importance of the Eastern Cape in the build up to 2010 and has invested heavily in development in these areas," explains Murray Mcwilliams, MD of Tractor Outdoor.
"We have moved away from the traditional campaign style sites and have moved more towards iconic large format locations on a par with Cape Town and Johannesburg. Having a full time office in PE allows us to respond quickly to clients requests as well as being able to service them with local knowledge of that market"
According to Mcwilliams, in the past, most outdoor media companies viewed towns in and around the Eastern Cape as supplementary to their holdings in Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban and thus managed their site development on an ad hoc basis through their head offices in these areas.
"We have seen a huge demand from our clients for premium advertising locations along the Garden Route and within the Eastern Cape in general," says Simon Wall, sales director of Tractor Outdoor.
"With this in mind we have partnered with PE-based businessman Bruce Jefferies in developing this rapidly expanding market. Born and bred within the Eastern Cape, Bruce has an intrinsic knowledge of the area and has already been very successful in securing a number of iconic locations."
