Song sheets and candles will be on sale, with proceeds donated to the Talitha Stimulation Centre, a care facility that looks after 22 mentally handicapped children. The candles are handcrafted mini clay pots created by women participating in a job creation initiative in Alexandra.
According to Jacaranda 94.2 marketing manager Niki Rakgoadi, "The event has seen substantial growth during the past four years and has become, along with its sister event in Pretoria, an annual fixture in the Gauteng festive season, and one of the special moments on the Jacaranda 94.2 events calendar. I believe that this year's event will be our most successful to date."
