OFM presenter nominated for prestigious award
André faces stiff competition in his category, but having to regularly think on his feet during one of the busiest and most demanding time slots in radio, he is certainly well prepared for the challenge.
Says André: "It is a great honour to be nominated in a category with such talented radio personalities. I was pleasantly surprised by my inclusion and am holding thumbs that OFM listeners will register and vote for me."
OFM Station Manager, Nick Efstathiou, says the station is delighted by André's nomination.
"André is deserving of this recognition. He has worked his way into one of the best breakfast seats in South Africa and makes engaging and entertaining radio on a daily basis. We are very proud that the industry has recognised his efforts and hard work."

In other OFM news, May will see some exciting new additions to the station's offering. The beautiful and bubbly Natasja Jacobs will join the afternoon drive show, Siesta, as co-host. Natasja is no stranger to radio and comes to OFM from Mix 93.8 FM and Ballz Visual Radio. Natasja is also an actor, presenter, singer and voice artist. Listeners will remember her as the feisty Rita on 7de Laan. She also appeared in a number of other television series, including Song vir Katryn, Egoli, Your Moves, Hart van Staal, Society, Villa Rosa, The Lab, Fotostories, Isidingo and Binnelanders.
Natasja will join Martin van der Merwe and Success Lekabe from 15:00 to 19:00 in the afternoon to entertain, inform and keep listeners company on the drive home from work.
"Natasja joins OFM at a great time for the station. Her addition to the already multitalented team is welcomed and we look forward to adding her creativity to our product offering," says Nick.
Friday nights on OFM will also kick it up a notch with a brand new show, Friday Night Live, with the ever popular Shaxe Khumalo. The show will feature the most popular local and international dance songs and is sure get the party started on Friday nights in central South Africa.
