Varsity College Durban North to host first 'Women with a Bang'
Varsity College, Miss South Africa, Gagasi FM and Outrage Concepts have collaborated to host the first 'Women with a Bang' event to uplift young women through speaker engagement, mentorship and networking opportunities.
The event takes place at Varsity College's Durban North campus on 28 August 2015 from 6.30pm. The event is supported by Gagasi FM's midday show, 'The Big Bang' hosted by well-known media personality, actor and comedian, Kini Shandu.
Event attendees can look forward to talks by speakers such as Miss South Africa 2015, Liesl Laurie; Chairperson of Businesswomen's Association KwaZulu-Natal, Mpume Langa; editor of Urban Life 'n Style, Aaliyah Mia as well as MD of Dzingwa Clinic, Dr Nomfundo Mfumfu Dzingwa.
In the days leading up to the main event Laurie will be giving away eight bursaries, valued at up to R30,000 each, to deserving young women via Gagasi FM on 'The Big Bang' show. The winners of the bursaries will be able to study part time or complete a short learning programme at the Business School at Varsity College.
