Live musical performance at Westgate

"We are really excited about the live aspect of MusicGate," says Trust Masarirambi, Westgate's marketing manager. "From the video entries, we have seen and heard some exciting musical talent and now it is up to the semi-finalists to deliver their musical performances on stage. We have already hosted the hip hop/kwaito category, and we are incredibly excited to congratulate our first finalists, Lyrical Swagg, Phat Skillz and Wulf Gang."

Westgate's MusicGate competition is split into three categories - hip hop/rap/kwaito, solo/acoustic/pop, and rock and alternative bands - from which three finalists will be chosen to perform at the outdoor finals. The two remaining semi-finals will take place in the Game Court at entrance two on 24 and 31 March.
