SAFTA 2014 winners announced

Stars, celebrities, entertainment industry leaders and prominent officials attended the first night of the South African Film and Television Awards on Friday, 4 April, 2014. From the red carpet arrivals to the uniquely South African entertainment and, of course, the celebration of the Golden Horn nominees and winners, justice was truly done to honour the 20 Years of Freedom theme of the eighth annual SAFTAs, night one.

Best Student Film: Kanyekanye.
Best Art Direction of a TV Soap: Annerie Gericke, The Wild.
Best Editor of a TV Soap: Editing Team, The Wild.
Best DOP/Cinematographer of a TV Soap: DOP Team, The Wild.
Best Art Direction of a TV Comedy: Amanda Scholtz, Those Who Can't.
Best Make-up & Hair stylist of a TV Drama: Jenny Sprawson, High Rollers.
Best Costume Design of a TV Drama: Martha Sibanyoni, High Rollers.
Best Production Design of a TV Drama: Anneri Gericke, Rockville. .
Best Editor of a TV Drama: Jack Esterhuizen, Lindi Goosen, Room 9.
