They eased us into the mood with Spirit is the New Black and fans sat along the grassy banks and swayed along. Slowly, people took to the gravel dance floor, but once they hit Feeling the Pressure plenty, including my homies and I, stormed the area. Soon enough it was packed to the brim and the dust rose as a mosh-pit emerged.
Jeremy and the rest of the lads that make up indie rock n' rollers, The Dirty Skirts, took a 15-minute interval to get some drinks and sign some chick's boobs. Just as I decided to 'break the seal', they decided to commence with the second set so, I abandoned the queue and went back to hip gyrating. They played all the fan favourites and even improvised a Jonty and Sam Song to the delight of the two hauled up on stage. Being a family friendly environment they had to alter another crowd favourite into You're such a 'Freaking' Handful.
The sound was perfect and Jeremy's energy and interaction with the crowd had every person happy and having fun while Mark's fantastic looks had girls dancing to impress.
A day of perfect weather, cheap drinks and The Dirty Skirts...what more could you ask for?
