Amanda Laird Cherry showed a range of shapeless dresses and two-piece outfits in the tones of a Namibian desert sunset, and Ephraim Molingoana of Ephymol presented his menswear collection, best suited to airline stewards and waiters.
Wolf-whistles signalled appreciation of his underwear range, worn by toned muscle men strutting their stuff on the catwalk.
Known for her handmade embroidery, beading and exquisite detailing, designer Vesselina Pentcheva celebrated artist Frida Khalo, with feminine, lacy dresses and spectacular ball gowns split black and white down the middle.
A guest appearance by the managing director of the SABC, Judi Nwokedi, in a wedding dress, was the finale of her show.
Ella Buter of Superella then showed her collection called, "Hooray! I live in a man-made forest", at her Melville shop on Saturday morning.
Lunar and Christopher Strong were the designer big guns on Saturday night.
Trendy Smarteez vied for attention with fashion stalwarts Clive Rundle, Colleen Eitzen and Terrence Bray, on the final night of the collections.
The highlight of the summer collections was by established label Black Coffee, which kicked off proceedings with the unveiling of a unique modular system of interlocking laser-cut garment components, developed by designer Jacques van der Watt.
"These innovative building blocks can be reconfigured to fulfil multiple functions within the life of the user," he said.
Bubbly and whisky flowed for guests brave enough to traverse the three-storey-high scaffolding sky-walk, linking the catwalk to the bar and media lounge.
