Owned by NAD Property Income Fund and managed by New Africa Developments (NAD), the mall forms part of the group's vision to bring major retailers to previously disadvantaged communities through the development of leading shopping centres. Its founder and owner, Japie van Niekerk, says, "The aim is to instil a sense of pride and belonging in a world-class shopping environment located in an underdeveloped area, which the community itself has played a part in establishing."
The state-of-the-art mall now covers a total floor space of 52,000m², offering more than 100 stores to choose from. The focus of the Phase 4 Development was to create a food court, with kiddies' play area and establish the mall as the preferred entertainment hub in Hammanskraal. The new offering includes Nando's, McDonald's, Spur, Miladys, FNB and Spitz. A number of tenants, such as Edgars, Truworths Man, Ackermans, Jet, Ellerines, Mr Price and Pep, expanded their previous retail offering.
