Local digirati shone at the recent IAB Bookmark Awards 2017. Here's some feedback from Ben Schoderer, KFC's digital manager.

KFC was announced as overall brand of the year in the special awards section of the Bookmarks.

Ogilvy was also responsible for the brand’s microsite's gold and digital strategy bronze for Yum Brands’ KFC Fill Up Meals; social media campaign bronze and social media community management craft bronze for KFC Burrito; mobile campaign gold, online video production craft silver and digital campaign bronze for KFC Shakin Shakin Meal.

Little wonder they sent through the ‘Praise be’ emoji to describe their feelings post-Bookmarks!

“Having followed the digital industry and the IAB Bookmarks closely for several years now, it is amazing to see how the quality of work being showcased has increased, as well as the size and quality of the event changed significantly each year. It is also a great testament to the state of digital marketing in SA. There is an incredible number of talented finalists, making it a lot harder to stand out, but at the same time, incredibly rewarding when you do,” says Schoderer.
