Soccer-Laduma is top mobi site

Soccer-Laduma's mobile site has surged into the number one position in the country with 120 502 unique browsers and over 2 million page impressions according to the Nielsen Online Market Intelligence report for February 2009. It had double the number of unique browsers and page impressions compared with the second biggest site, 24.com Mobile.

“We have had a 27% increase in users since January, according to Nielsen's,” says Soccer-Laduma website manager Diogo Peral. “We expected growth as Soccer-Laduma readers become familiar with our offering and we are thrilled with our progress so far. The Laduma website's Breaking News carries 50 stories a day which are published on the mobi site. The site also has a live chat room.”

The number of Soccer-Laduma readers who have a cellphone has increased by 63% since 2006, compared with the total population increase of 37%.
