Rabinowitz grew up on a farm in Plumstead West (i.e: Constantia) where he learned to climb trees, make pots, and speak Xhosa. He graduated from the University of Cape Town with a degree in Business Science but his career plans changed when he toured Africa with a theatre company (and some goats). With an impressive grasp of multiple languages and a passion for connecting people and cultures, he has now established himself as one of South Africa's top entertainers.
"In this country a lot of us do use comedy to confront various things and challenge certain ideas and it is just the tip of the iceberg," Rabinowitz said in an interview with CNN earlier this year. Stand and Deliver performs at Cape Town's International Convention Centre on Saturday 27 October and at Johannesburg's Lyric Theatre on Saturday 10 November. Tickets are available from Computicket, with special discounts available for early bookings and groups of ten or more.
