Iziko Museums closed for Mandela funeral

In honour of the memory and legacy of former President Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela (1918 - 2013) Iziko Museums of South Africa were closed on Sunday, 15 December 2013.

Iziko Museums closed for Mandela funeral

The following museums will be closed:

South African Museum (including the Planetarium)

South African National Gallery

Michaelis Collection at the Old Town House

Koopmans de-Wet House

Rust en Vreugd

Groot Constantia

Slave Lodge

Bo-Kaap Museum

Bertram House

Maritime Centre

William Fehr Collection at the Castle of Good Hope

Museums will be re-open on Reconciliation Day, 16 December 2013.
