The lion does finally sleep

Stephanus Gerhardus Griesel, in his capacity as the Executor of the Estate of Linda, reached a world-wide settlement with Abilene Music LLC, a United States limited liability company, which administers the copyright to the musical composition.

The High Court litigation filed by Griesel has been settled and the litigation withdrawn. It is confirmed that 'The Lion Sleeps Tonight' was derived from Mbube and that Linda was therefore a co-author of the musical work.
