Ralebitso's role will include building an effective marketing, communications and corporate affairs function across the emerging markets businesses, as well as planning, directing and implementing a brand strategy that is aligned with that of the group and its long-term savings division.

He gained his experience in senior positions at Herdbuoys McCann-Erickson, Jupiter Drawing Room, TBWA SA, Liberty Holdings and ABSA. He has worked on some of the country's top brands, including SAB, SA Tourism, MTN and ABSA.

In his most recent role, at ABSA, he was responsible for the development of a strategy to micro-segment the business's view of the market and deliver segment-specific customer propositions. He has qualifications from Queens College, New York and the University of Cape Town and has attended the Harvard Business School/WITS Executive Education Programme.

"As a seasoned business leader in both the financial services and advertising industry, he has the right experience and qualities to spearhead our ambitious brand strategy to become the most trusted partner of our customers, communities and stakeholders," comments Kuseni Dlamini, CEO Old Mutual Emerging Markets.
