The great changes will see the introduction of ultra-modern technology such as the Smart Card system which allows for safer, more hygienic and convenient gaming, a stunning new Cigar Bar, a luxurious MVG Lounge and a service-friendly centralised MVG Desk.
The 57-room hotel has already undergone a R7-million refurbishment, accentuating its sophisticated Victorian décor while introducing modern finishings to ensure a higher level of service excellence. All the while, great care has been taken to ensure that The Carousel retains its classic charm, its rollicking entertainment and service reminiscent of days gone by.
Derek Panaino, General Manager of The Carousel Casino and Entertainment World, said the refurbishment programme has been designed to ensure that patrons experience as little inconvenience as possible. "We will remain open throughout the revamp. Our customers will still be able to experience the finest in live entertainment, enjoy a meal or have a drink at the same places they have gone to before. However, we have temporarily relocated our entire casino to another venue within The Carousel, ensuring our customers will continue to have access to their favourite slot machine and table games as before."
The refurbishment programme commenced on 15th January, and is expected to be completed by the end of March.
By April, patrons will be able to enjoy a heightened level of entertainment and gaming at The Carousel.
