The show, which runs every second year in Cape Town, is organised by Exhibitions for Africa, a division of Specialised Exhibitions.
Lynn Chamier, show director, comments, “Markex Cape had a great vibe... We are delighted with the high quality of the 3437 visitors who came through the doors.
“Visitor feedback indicates that we are correct in bringing the exhibition to Cape Town bi-annually and that this is the right frequency for the size of the market in this region,” she adds.
Chamier says that although the market is smaller than that in Gauteng, it is an important one that can't be ignored and she says her company is committed to running another Markex Cape in 2010.
In 2009 the annual Gauteng show will take place from 9-11 June and will then move to Durban for the bi-annual KZN show on 6-8 October. Markex will then return to the Cape.
