Media24 launches magazine about magazines

Media24 has launched COVER, a new exclusive annual trade publication with the focus on magazines.

COVER is aimed at creating positive perceptions about magazines and the power of the medium. It also addresses the issues and challenges facing advertisers and publishers. The magazine will be distributed exclusively and personalised to chief executive officers, marketing directors and media directors.

Patricia Scholtemeyer, CEO of Media24 Magazines and COVER editorial board member says the perception persists amongst some marketing and media people that television is more prestigious. "Herein lies the challenge for COVER - to get creative people at agencies to fall in love with magazines again, as well as encourage them to understand and hone the skills needed to create magazines advertisements with impact."
