NGO website competition open
This year's theme for the 2010 South African NGO Web Awards, in line with its conference, is 'Fundraising in a Digital World' and entries close on Tuesday, 10 August 2010. The winners will be announced at the SANGONeT Conference on 1 September 2010 in Johannesburg.
Now in its fifth year, the South African NGO Web Awards continues to raise awareness about the benefits of having a web presence among South African NGOs.
This year's categories are 'Best Use of Website for Online Fundraising' and 'Best Use of Mobile Technology for Fundraising' and offer three prizes valued at R10 000 each, sponsored by Torque IT.
South African organisations must be able to demonstrate their non-profit status and involvement in development work in South Africa and the 2008 and 2009 winners are not eligible to enter.
