Celebrate International Women's Day centenary at Johannesburg conference

In South Africa, Women in Finance (WIF) will celebrate the centenary of International Women's Day with a two-day conference and dinner on 8-9 March 2011 in Sandton. It provides international and local speakers, workshops and panel discussions and has a dinner on day one.

The main objective of the conference is to honour women in what they have achieved through the years. The conference will be chaired by Gwen Watkins.

Meet the speakers

The conference dinner, known as 'Hot Tables' will take place at Montecasino and is open to non-delegates. Edith Venter, patron of WIF, will introduce Suresh Kana, CEO of PwC Southern Africa, a major sponsor of the event, who will give the welcoming address and Dr Nicola Brewer, British High Commissioner to South Africa, the main speaker of the evening.

Many of the conference speakers will host tables, giving guests the opportunity to discuss relevant topics, as they rotate through the evening from table to table, the normal practice at WIF Hot Table events.

WIF is an inventive organisation that is at the forefront of SME assistance and development and the empowerment of women through leadership development.
