Writers' Guild of South Africa magazine, now online
From its inception in 2009 as a two page newsletter, to its current one hundred page plus incarnation, the WGSA Mag has grown to become one of the most widely read digital industry publications in the country.
Jam packed with interviews and articles, which cover the interests of all the disciplines represented by WGSA, the magazine has turned into a major public relations tool for WGSA, bringing in new members and gaining readership at training institutions, broadcasters and at government level.
It is distributed free of charge to Writers' Guild members and representatives of the Film and Television Industry, both locally and abroad. As WGSA is a non-profit and public benefit organisation, all contributions, from editorial control to local and international articles, are done on a voluntary basis with no payment.
First online edition
After fourteen issues, July marks the magazines first online edition and with it the WGSA's commitment to continue to grow the readership to even greater numbers.
Their success would not be possible without the contributions of their media and content providers and to them they say a big and heartfelt thank you.
