The long-anticipated winners of the 5th annual Crystal Awards 2005 - hosted by People magazine annually to honour South African talent - were announced last week.
The new design of the Crystal Awards trophy was unveiled along with another surprise - the introduction of People Magazine's Miss Crystal Awards 2005 and a competition for readers who stand to win the title simply by sending in photos of themselves. The 2005 winner, Juan-Mari Rossouw, handed out the prestigious trophies to the Crystal Award winners.

6. Best Kids Presenter - Carly Fields (Yo TV)
7. Best Dressed Male Presenter - Mark Pilgrim (94.7 and M-Net)
8. Best Dressed Female Presenter - Leanne Manas (Morning Live)
9. Best Male Newcomer - Paul Viv (SABC 3)
10. Best Female Newcomer - Mari Michael (Backstage)
11. Best Male TV Presenter - Derek Watts (Carte Blanche)
12. Best Female TV Presenter - Leanne Manas
13. SA's Hottest Hunk - Ryk Neethling (Olympic Gold Medallist)
14. SA's Hottest Babe - Shaia Wolf (formerly of Isidingo)

The 2005 Crystal Awards will be broadcast on e.tv's Showbiz Report, SABC1's Yo TV, M-Net's K-TV, and The Home Channel on DStv.
