A Compleat redesign
After 21 years, Compleat Golfer is redesigning its cover and copy to reflect a more modern look. The Compleat part of its title will now take centre stage, as against previous editions, which Golfer used more prominently.
The brand is said to have become so established in the marketplace that many golf enthusiasts simply refer to it as Compleat, and hence equal weight has been given to both words making up the magazine's name, explained the magazine's editor, Brandon de Kock.
"Compleat Golfer is now more in trend with modern, successful magazines," he said. "We have changed the look fundamentally, reflecting the changing times both in golf and in international design."
The editorial team reflects a balance between hot young writers with exciting new voices and the long-standing expertise of the doyens of golf journalists. To complement the strong editorial package, new typefaces and a four-column design, which allows photos to be used to full advantage, are designed to make for a fresh, interesting package.
