Community lifestyle mag for Durban's affluent
Durban-based Famous Publishing is adding The Durban to its stable of community lifestyle magazines, which includes The Ridge and The Crest. The title is intended to appeal strictly to the upper echelons of society.
MD and publisher Tim Lombard has described The Durban magazine as a luxury and glossy coffee table publication distributed only to exclusive A/B income bracket businesses and private addresses in Durban - encompassing Berea South (Bulwer and Glenwood), Berea North (Musgrave, Essenwood, Windermere, and Morningside), Durban North (Broadway, Athlone, Propect Hall and Umgeni Park), as well as select businesses and retail centres in these areas, including the Point precinct, the city, and Springfield Park.
The focus of The Durban is the rich tapestry of art, architecture, personalities, theatre history and business surrounding these areas. The aim is to entertain, to enlighten, and to enrich the fabrics of the lives of those living and working there, and to highlight and emphasis the exclusive nature of life in one of the most vibrant cities in the country.
