Thai Airways celebrates three years in South Africa

After re-entering the South African market on 9 June 2009, Thai Airways International recently celebrated its third birthday in South Africa.

Thai Airways International (THAI) recently celebrated its third birthday in South Africa. Having re-entered the South African markets on 9 June 2009, Thamanoon Kuprasert, general manager of Central, Eastern and Southern Africa for Thai Airways International is pleased with everything that Thai Airways South Africa has achieved.

"Thai Airways is very proud of the success it has achieved over the past three years, the number of consumers who have travelled to Thailand is phenomenal and it gets better and better every year," says Thamanoon Kuprasert, general manager of Central, Eastern and Southern Africa for Thai Airways International. Statistics from Tourism Thailand (TAT) show that 17.8% of South Africans visited Thailand in the period January - December 2011 and 4.29% from January - April in 2012.

Travel routes are increased

Thai Airways not only allows passengers to travel to Thailand, but has increased its travel route to Hong Kong, Bali, Australia, New Zealand and Vietnam to name a few. THAI also announced that they would be improving certain aircrafts, which travel to different routes with better and more comfortable seats, making the travel experience that much more enjoyable.

"The past three years in South Africa have been great for Thai Airways and I can guarantee you that we will be here for the next ten, making sure that your experience is as smooth as silk," concludes Kuprasert.

Thai Airways travellers can purchase an air ticket for travelling to Thailand and Asia Pacific destinations such as Malaysia, Singapore, Bali, China, Indo-China, Australia and New Zealand until 30 September 2012 with Thailand & Asia Pacific Delight Promotion.
