Air France now flying into Cape Town

Air France is operating a direct flight between Paris and Cape Town making it the 17th international airline to offer direct flights to the city according to IOL. This means that Cape Town will have an average of 12 international flights landing at the airport each day.

Economic Development and Tourism MEC, Alan Winde welcomed Air France to the city and then departed on the airline's inaugural flight to Paris.

According to IOL, Cape Town Tourism spokesman Skye Grove says that the additional direct flight is welcome news for the tourism sector as the availability of direct flights influences traveller behaviour and buying patterns and both are critical for the leisure and business tourism sectors.
